Cannot go past server selection

I am a new player, i installed the "ROF client" from steam, i didn't even start it up and did exactly as instructed in one the "How to play" posts. I typed in my account info and password, logs in fine, server selection seems fine, i go to join Casual Dreams server and it doesn't even load the loading screen, it is like as if the game is frozen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This can happen if the game is from Steam and it has attempted to update. I personally did not use the steam RoF Client as this has been an issue in the past. I know files can not be posted on the boards. If you want a different RoF client to avoid the steam issue google RoF2 Client EQ. You should find a few. I use the one that is on the Imperium Server Forms.

I Downloaded the ROF2 client, and I did the "how to play" exactly as it states, i can see that the server is shown in game like before, i try to join it and it does the same thing, it blackscreen freezes the game. I really am trying to figure this out.

It may also be your Username/Password issue according to this thread
