I want to thank you for such a great work done on casual server and maintaining it. I had been really fun playing classic EQ on your server.

I did the wizard epic quest 1.0 up until I brought the ring from Challic at the Paladin guild in Felwithe back to Arantir Karondor in Halas at the Shaman guild. However, before I could continue with the dialog, he disappeared and reverted back to Dargon the merchant and will not response to my quest dialogs. I tried buying the potion from Dargon again (the 1700ish solusek breath potion) and tried turn it in to Camin in solusek ro temple hoping to redo the quest, but Camin just took my potion and not respond so I lost my pp and now I'm stuck . I can't get the note from Arantir about the Gnome because he's now Dargon the merchant. Please help!

I did a bit more research into the problem. Seem like the nature of the problem have been experienced by others (due to NPC eating the item then despawned). I asked around in game but other wizards, while had the same problem, can't help. They did mentioned the puppet string to skip straight to the Gnome Kandin in ButcherBlock. I got a puppet string and went there, but the Gnome is lvl54 and the string lvl limit is 51 so it didnt worked. I dont want to start another wiz and lvl to 50 to repeat the epic because i might end up in the same situation. I was reading on everquestp99 wiki and read to increase faction with Kandin the Gnome, i might be able to kill the coldain councillors for some enchanter charm spell clicky item. I went to icewall keep with murder intention but the little guys all have warmly faction with me and more importantly all green so i donno if i can get any item from farming them hehe. Is there anyway i can get a "note from arantir" ? i gave him the ring before he despawned into Dargon so i left without arantir ring too at this point. If Dargon can somehow turned into Arantir, maybe i can say "gnome" to him to receive the note.

Arantir/Dargon is now a more reasonable fellow. He has taken a communications course and will be more responsive to Wizards working on their Epic.

If Arantir is having an especially bad day and won't respond, Camin will help you out again if you take him another potion.
