I have a suggestion to fix clerics to some degree. Maybe amplify the damage proc of their hammer line. Which whould be:
Instead of 75 dmg proc up to 500?

Not to play Devil's advocate, but they can already use the Hammer of Hours (priest, not just cleric), which is a 1hb with a 750-dd proc.

Slightly worse delay, minus the (VERY) minor group heal component. I didn't look at proc mods in this instance, but In terms of difficulty to obtain they're about the same (both phase 4 drops). Lastly, they even have the same graphic (shared with Hammer of the Timeweaver).

Yes i know that. Poor guys that have to start out without one.
Besides the melee classes get a ton of AAs to proc more often or even get crits. I dont think clerics and priests get that. Those weapons have no proc mod, hence the idea for the cleric hammers because they have.
And heal power dont compensate here for the lack of damage output

I think it would be cool to focus on making Clerics heal DS tanks.
Basically, instead of doing offensive damage to kill mobs, they would just HPS themselves while mobs killed themselves on their DS.

Poor guys that have to start without one and want to do greater DPS generally reroll another class. There will always be "preferred classes" here. I think the important thing is to keep the classes unique and not resemble homogeneity. Pabst is on the right train of thought with the enhanced reverse DS (i've heard of clerics having fun with this while levelling, though very few persist at endgame obviously), another idea would be boosting their VS undead stuff. It's just like the chanter though, cleric has a very limited (useful) skillset here, and despite that some (few) people still play them (or box them, usually).
