Second account problem

I just created a second account using a different email (I later learned I could have used my main account's email). I've verified the email and I can login to server select. Upon entering the server, the client freezes with a black screen. The client has to be closed through the Joblist (where it says "Not Responding").
When I try logging into the new account just using one client, it's the same result. Black Screen and frozen client. My main account has no problems. Is there some GM setting/approval that needs to take place before I can log in?
