Avoiding Interrupts

Hi,

question to the wizard(s) out there. Aside from snare kiting & rooting which dont seem very viable on the pulls we do here...what is the best way to avoid being interrupted as you guys call upon your uber AoE spells?

Does channeling reach a point where you can get beat on by the zone of monsters and channel through? is there an AA chain to follow? I've read that the Channel Focus AA's were eventually removed because they never worked to begin with on live.

Any input is appreciated.

I test every event as wizard, I have killed it all.

A good casting speed focus item helps.

Avoidance AA, Gear, and augments help.

AC helps.

A +Channeling item helps.

You will always have some interrupts; even a lot of interrupts sometimes.

I keep at least one very fast nuke memorized at all times in case I pull too many.

Some mobs hit really fast, burn those down first.

You have to take the bad with the good. Wizard isn't a "mash auto-attack" class but they are incredibly powerful and there is nothing they can't kill.

I rarely use the giant, awe inspiring, brag rights, melt your face nukes. They are just way too slow, even with AA and focus. If there aren't enough mobs to bother with ae/rain then I use the fast nuke to kill them.

If you are trying to AE an entire zone at once you're barking up the wrong tree.
