Shrink in Bazaar

Is there a reason every time I zone into the Bazaar I get shrunk? My DE mage is now smaller than a gnome and my pet is the size of a pin-head!!
I wish this feature were gone myself. Im sure it was helpful on live if there were hundreds of people there, but it doesnt seem to be needed currently.
On a side note, dont try to "Grow" your pet to counter it, I geared up my pet at 65 and dont wish to lose them, but now the pet (wolf) is stuck being about twice as tall as my barbarian and shrink has no effect on it lol.
