Champion Spam

So I'm a gnome and the gnome champion won earlier and now I'm getting spam message with every 3 seconds accompanied by a beep.

It's very annoying!

Is there a way of turning this off?

Can you give us a clue? What does the "spam" message say?

Which client are you using?

Hey Poru - it says:
Gnome Champion tells you, 'Our victory in the Arena provides increased experience gain!'

But it spams like every 3-4 seconds. It's accompanied by a system beep which I suspect is a dodgy character in the string perhaps. When I mute System Sounds the beep shuts off.

I received the message 956 times over the course of 2 hours and then it stopped!

Could be related to the buff that provides bonus experience to the winning race, the buff lasts a couple of hours.

If the buff couldn't land or overwrite that might have been the issue.

If it happens again make a note of where, which buffs you have on, which client, etc.

Ah ha! I've figured it out. It doesn't stack with Lesson of the Devoted.

Looking at my logs I see 'Your mind returns to normal.' which is Lesson waring off.

Then I get one last Gnome Champion tells you, 'Our victory in the Arena provides increased experience gain!' and the spam stops.

So there you go!
