It's a pain, but keeps you on your toes and honest (don't pull entire zones!). IMO it's fine on the endgame raids (Time and Fabled ToV) as there's an element of strategy for speedrunning. I'd agree that it's more of a pain when leveling in those lvl 50-65 zones though.
