Ok if its my username/password how do i fix it?

This isn't a second account, it is the only account i have, i am a new player.

I Downloaded the ROF2 client, and I did the "how to play" exactly as it states, i can see that the server is shown in game like before, i try to join it and it does the same thing, it blackscreen freezes the game. I really am trying to figure this out.
